Description

Lugg Bridge is a small 17th century stone bridge located on the Hereford border, spanning the River Lugg. It features rubble facings that have been heavily repointed, with three segmental arches made of rough voussoirs. Each side of the bridge has two V-shaped cutwaters, and there are low rubble parapets topped with flat copings, along with inset boundary stones. The roadway is gently cambered and includes paired pedestrian refuges, clink stones, and a modern tarmac surface. The cutwaters and abutments are now set into modern concrete plinths that are studded with random rubble. The overall condition of the structure is heavily restored.
