Description
Fold Farmhouse is a detached T-plan building dating from around 1700, featuring a cross wing to the right. It is two storeys high with a roughcast gable and has a pair of large chimney breasts with tall brick stems on the lateral wall facing Broad Street. The roof is covered with slate, and it has bargeboards and projecting eaves. The windows are modern three-light designs, and there is a boarded door beneath a pitched hood supported by cusped brackets. To the left of the front gable, there is a slate and roughcast range.
Internally, much of the original layout appears to be preserved. The main entrance leads into the two-room cross wing, which has lateral chimney stacks. The kitchen, featuring a gable fireplace and oven, is located along the street. The interior also includes narrow chamfered beams and other details.
