Description
The stable at Ashfield Farm is a square lofted structure built from rubble stone, topped with a hipped slate roof. The openings feature stone segmental heads. On the north side, which faces the yard, there is a central split boarded door with an overlight above it, and a window to the left. In the loft, there are two openings, with the right-hand one still having its wooden shutter. The left end wall, which faces the house, has a boarded door in the center and a similar loft door in the upper right. A basement door is accessible by stone steps located to the left of center. At the rear, there is a 12-pane hornless sash window on the right, a small blocked opening to its left, and a replacement window in the upper right.
