Description
This former flannel factory, also known as the "Clock Factory," is a four-storey building with eight bays, constructed in Flemish bond brick. It features a gently pitched slate roof and a sawtooth eaves cornice. The chimney has been removed from the left end of the building. Each floor has three-light casements, which are set beneath cambered gauged brick voussoir arches, with shallow reveals and timber sills. Many of these windows are largely broken or boarded over. The factory includes loading doors with a modern hoist located on the third and first floors. The main entrance door is offset to the right and is framed by a good original doorcase with a dentilled hood and a rectangular three-light fanlight. There is a modern door beneath a cambered brick voussoir arch that leads to a heavy framed door on the right, providing access to a passage. The rear elevation of the building is in poor condition.
