Description

Bridge 133 over the Montgomeryshire Canal is a single span brick arched bridge that features some stone dressings. The outer piers and parapet are topped with pyramidal stone copings, and there is a stone string course that indicates the position of the road bed. The bridge has a splayed plan and rises in a shallow curve in section. The abutments are chamfered on the tow-path side. On the north side, there is a brick retaining wall that leads to an integral pathway at road level. Some later repair work has been carried out on the parapets.
