Description

Garthmyl Hall is a Victorian building constructed of brick with stone dressings and a slate roof, featuring axial brick stacks with stone caps. It stands two storeys high and has a five-window range, with six-window return elevations. The entrance front has a central bay that is slightly advanced and pedimented, supported by coupled Tuscan pilasters at the porch. Each floor of the outer bays has 12-pane sash windows, including one above the doorway, all adorned with stone voussoir heads. The building also features stone angle quoins and a modillion eaves cornice, while the return elevations have simpler detailing.

The interior is noted for its Italianate plasterwork and includes an Ionic screen that separates the entrance hall from the staircase.
