Description

Pont Llanelltyd is a 5-span road bridge constructed from dressed local stone, featuring stone-coped rubble parapets. The bridge has wide, depressed arches made with voussoirs and simply-moulded arch-rings. Each side of the bridge includes four triangular cutwaters with stepped, pyramidal heads that end in flat buttresses at the level of the parapet. There are similar buttresses at both ends of the bridge on either side. The bridge has a slight camber towards the center and is lined with small, contemporary stone bollards along both sides to protect the inner parapet.
