Description

Bridge 134 over the Montgomeryshire Canal is a single span brick arched bridge, featuring some stone dressings. The outer piers and parapet are topped with pyramidal stone copings, and a stone string course indicates the position of the road bed. The bridge is splayed in plan and rises in a shallow curve in section. The abutments are chamfered on the tow-path side. This bridge is part of the original engineering of the western arm of the Montgomeryshire Canal and serves as a good example of the bridge design associated with it.
