Description
Ty'r Pentre is a house with a pebbledashed front, featuring a close-eaved roof covered with concrete tiles and three large square rubble stone chimneys typical of the 18th century, complete with dripstones. The house is situated to the east, with a service range to the west, both under a single roof. It is two storeys high, and all windows are of the Brecon hopper type.
The three-bay house on the left has long 16-pane windows on the first floor and shorter 9-pane windows on the ground floor, positioned on either side of a door that has six flush panels. There is a blind window above the door. The service range features a similar board door on the left, a broad window on the right with double 6-pane windows, and a long 16-pane window on the first floor. All windows have stone sills.
To the left, there is a single-storey outbuilding made of whitewashed rubble with a concrete tile roof. The right end wall of this outbuilding is also whitewashed rubble, with a large lean-to structure made of whitewashed rubble, its roof raised to a shallow pitch.
At the rear of the house, there is a central projection with a 6-pane window for the stair, and a 6-pane window on each floor on either side. The window surrounds are made of brick, and the sills are stone. The service range includes a two-storey rear wing with a roof that is hipped to the south. There is evidence of wall rebuilding on the east side, and the rear of the east outbuilding had two doors, one of which is now a window.
