Description
Penybont is a house built of rubble stone with a slate roof and three stone chimneys, designed in a vernacular Georgian style. It is two storeys high and features a long range that runs down a slope. The structure includes a three-bay house on the right and a two-bay service range uphill to the left, both under a single roof. The windows have brick heads painted in alternating red and white, with slate sills positioned directly above the lower openings. The main house has hornless 12-pane sash windows and a central door with an overlight, while the service range features shorter 9-pane sashes above the door and 12-pane windows, with their heads higher than those of the main house due to the slope. The right end wall is roughcast over an attached painted rendered outbuilding, which may have been a small cowhouse or stable, featuring a door on the extreme left and a 20th-century window. The interior is not available for inspection.
