Description

The Farmhouse is a 17th-century house constructed from colourwashed rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring brick chimneys at each end, as well as one on the ridge to the right of the entrance door. The building is one and a half storeys tall. The facade has a slightly projecting section to the left of the central entrance bay, which contains a four-panel door. On either side of the door, there are two cambered-headed square 12-pane windows, with the two on the right spaced further apart. The windows are adorned with stone voussoirs and stone sills. There is a small upper window under the eaves just to the left of the projection. Additionally, there are two gabled 9-pane dormers, each positioned above the inner ground floor windows, with sills that rest on the eaves. All windows feature hopper-type glazing.

The left end of the house has a projecting chimney breast that is flanked by first-floor windows. The right end includes a small upper window above a small single-storey addition that has a rounded corner facing the lane. At the rear, there are three gabled dormers, a door to the left, and two windows, one of which is a nine-pane window with an oak lintel.

Inside, there is a cross-passage with a staircase, stone-flagged floors, deep window recesses, board doors, and boxed-in beams. The left side features a simple 18th-century chimney-piece. The roof retains its original collar trusses.
