Description
Tyddyn, which includes Tyddyn Cottage, is a building made of limewashed brick with a slate roof, dating from the late Georgian period. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays, with a symmetrical main elevation. The central feature is a part-glazed door set within a panelled doorcase, accompanied by a later trellis porch. On either side of the entrance are canted bay windows from the late 19th century, which have dentilled cornices and flat lead roofs. The first floor features 16-pane sash windows with painted wedge lintels and sills, while the top floor has 8-pane sash windows. The building has modillion eaves and gable stacks, along with a three-storey rear wing that has a gable stack.
The cottage, which extends from the rear wing, is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick with a slate roof. It has two bays, with a central door located in a brick porch that features a pointed arch. The cottage also has two-light diamond-paned iron windows with cambered heads and a stack that is built against the stack of the rear wing of the house.
