Description
Villa Norge is a two-storey building with weatherboarded elevations, featuring vertical boarding on the first floor and horizontal boarding on the ground floor. The roof is made of corrugated sheeting, likely from a rebuilding in 1924, and there is a brick chimney. The main front of the villa faces south towards the river.
On the first floor, there is an open gabled balcony with elaborate stepped bargeboards, supported by struts and pendant bosses. The balcony features three arched bays with turned cross-ties, and the boarded front and sides have pierced lozenge decoration, with double-leaf doors behind. The ground floor has a central arched doorway flanked by a window on each side.
Both side elevations have balconies similar to the front, but these are enclosed with small-pane glazing. Each ground floor side has three small-pane casement windows, and at the rear, there is a bay with a small window on each floor; however, the left side has French doors on the ground floor with a projecting floor. The rear also features a stepped bargeboard and a lower gabled bay, with a single-storey extension at right angles, constructed in matching materials.
Inside, the villa retains a pitch-pine staircase with turned newels, boarded walls, and original doors.
