Description
Nant-y-Meichiaid Farmhouse is an 18th century farmhouse that likely replaced an earlier structure. It is constructed from locally made brick laid in Flemish bond on stone footings and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three bays and a stone-built lean-to at the rear. There is a cellar at the southern end.
The central bay is slightly set forward and includes a round-headed half-glazed door within a trellis porch. Above this, there is an arched opening with a transomed window and a roundel in the pediment. The farmhouse has timber cross windows set in cambered-headed openings and gable stacks.
At the time of inspection, the interior was not accessible, but it is said to have timber framing.
