Description
Jones Monument is a stone structure located near the south gates of the churchyard. It features an undersplayed table supported by scroll-shaped end slabs and a central baluster. The end slabs are inscribed with the phrases 'Memento Mori' and 'Ut Hora sic vita', although these inscriptions are now very weathered. The table has decorative edge fleurons and an incomplete inscription on top that reads, "Here lyeth ye body of Richard Jones of Moysgwin, gent, who was interred December ye 10th 1707 aged 90. Under this yew tree, Buried would hee be, For his father and hee, Planted this yew tree."
