Description

Millward House is a 2-storey building constructed from roughly coursed and squared rubble with a slate roof, featuring brick stacks on the axial and front walls. The layout consists of a main range with a cross-wing to the left. The differing stonework suggests that the two sections were built at different times, with the main range being of somewhat later date. The entrance is located in a gabled porch, which is a later addition, and features a moulded stone architrave at the junction of the main range and the cross-wing.

The cross-wing retains its original windows, including a 4-light mullioned window on each floor in the gable end, two 2-light mullioned windows on the return elevation to the left, and a 6-light window in the rear gable. The main range has three casement windows on the ground floor, with 2 and 3 lights, featuring mullions, slight transoms, and rough stone lintels. Similar casement windows are found below the eaves. The two brick stacks have nogging at their projecting caps. There is a lean-to pantry against the right-hand gable end and an outbuilding that forms a short wing to the rear.

The house has been loosely divided into two semi-independent units. While the general layout remains intact, there is little original detail left.
