Description
Pistyll Bank is a 2-storey rendered cottage with an irregular plan and a basement at the rear due to the sloping land. It features a slate roof and rendered chimneys. The front elevation facing Springfield Lane is symmetrical, with a central projecting gabled bay flanked by lean-to wings that have upswept roofs. The central door has an ogee fanlight head with Gothick glazing detail, and it is flanked by arched cast-iron windows, also with Gothick glazing.
On the upper floor, there is a cast-iron multipaned window with Gothick glazing and an ogee head, along with a small blind arched opening above it. Each single-storey wing has a mock arrow slit and windows with ogee heads similar to those on the main elevation. The eaves feature a dentil cornice that returns for a short distance at the gable. The left-hand return elevation and the rear of the building have 19th and 20th-century windows.
Inside, the main room has a front door with strap hinges and exposed ceiling beams, but the rest of the interior has been remodeled.
