Description
The courtyard walls and three gazebos at the rear of Roft Castle House are notable features from the 19th century. The high brick walls, which have stone crenellation, enclose three sides of the courtyard and extend along each side of the drive. The inner faces of the walls are rendered and buttressed for support. Flanking the entrance to the yard are two octagonal gazebos, each topped with slate roofs and featuring rendered surfaces with dentil cornices. The doorways of these gazebos have ogee heads. A third gazebo, similar in design, is located at the angle where the attached brick wall returns along the side of the garden.
