Description
The Gate Lodge is a single-storey building constructed of brick with rusticated stone quoins, all painted white, and features a slate roof with wide projecting eaves. It retains original diamond-pattern slates on a hipped projection on the right side of the front and the hipped right end. A brick ridge stack with two diagonal shafts is present. The front has two windows, with the right-hand window recessed within the hipped projection. Both windows are 2-light casements set in original openings, each with hood moulds above. On the right side wall, there is a similar 2-light window and a boarded door, both also under hood moulds. A lean-to has been added to the rear.
