Description
This is a 1½-storey double-fronted cottage built from hand-moulded brick with freestone surrounds, featuring a slate roof with overhanging eaves and brick end stacks. The front elevation includes a plat band above the openings. The central entrance has a triangular head and a replacement half-glazed panel door, with a stone tablet above it inscribed 'PLG 1856'. The windows are 3-light casements, and there is a central gabled dormer with a replacement 2-light window. The gable ends feature iron-framed attic windows on either side of each stack, with glazing arranged in a pattern of hexagonal and diamond panes. At the rear, there is a central replacement half-glazed panel door flanked by segmental-headed small-pane iron-frame windows that include opening lights.
The cottage has a 2-unit plan, with a straight stair located behind the room on the left side, but the interior has been modernised.
