Description
Parkley Lodge is a 1½-storey cottage built of brick, featuring a steep tile roof with overhanging eaves and a central brick chimney. The gable-end front and side wall facing the road are constructed with a chequer-work pattern of red and white brick. A continuous dentil band runs between the storeys, and the openings have segmental heads. The boarded door on the gable-end front is offset to the right, with 2-light casement windows to the left and above. Beneath the apex of the gable, there is a tablet inscribed 'PWG 1867'. The right side wall, which has two windows facing the road, includes 3-light windows, and to the right of these is a rear lean-to that features a replacement window. The lean-to has a 2-light mid-20th century steel-framed window where an original doorway once was. The left side wall of the cottage has an inserted half-glazed door to the left and two narrow replacement windows. The property has not been inspected.
