Description
1 Smokey Lane is a 1½-storey cottage built of brick, featuring a steep tiled roof with overhanging eaves and a central brick chimney. There is a dentil band situated between the storeys. The openings of the cottage have segmental heads, and most of the windows retain their original small-pane iron-frame glazing. The front gable end has a boarded door on the right and a window on the left, with two narrower windows located above. Beneath the apex of the gable is a freestone tablet inscribed with 'PWG 1867'. The right side wall includes an iron-frame window and a replacement window to the right under a square head. The left side wall has two narrow windows. At the rear gable end, there is a lean-to that features a boarded door and window, with an additional window located in the gable above.
