Description
2 Warren Cottages consists of two 1½-storey cottages arranged at right angles to create a T-shaped plan. The cottages are constructed of brick, featuring a chequer-work pattern of red and white brick on the main elevations, a dentil band between the storeys, and a tiled roof with overhanging eaves and a single ridge stack for each cottage. The openings have segmental heads.
Cottage No 1 has its entrance located in the gable end, with a studded door on the left side, and two-light windows to the right and above, which include metal casements. Below the apex, there is a freestone tablet inscribed with 'PWG 1866'. The left side wall has two windows, both of which are three-light casement windows. To the left side, there is a timber-framed gable that features a three-light dormer window with metal-framed casements. The right side wall, which is effectively the back of the cottage, includes a lean-to with a three-light window and a small-pane iron-frame window on its right side, along with a replacement window on its left.
Cottage No 2 is positioned across the end of No 1, forming the upper part of the T. Its gable end front has a studded door on the left and two-light windows to the right and above. The left side wall also contains two windows, both of which are three-light casements.
