Description
The Newborough Arms is a two-storey building that has been whitewashed and roughcast, topped with a slate roof and red terracotta ridge. The end stacks have been rebuilt and rendered, with the original south end stack now located on the ridge due to an extension to the south. The original part of the building features three windows, while a one-window range has been added to the right. The original section has a broad centre gable, and the added section has a small shallow gable, with carved scalloped eaves throughout. All windows are flat-headed long triple casements with small-paned Gothic Y-tracery heads and slate sills. The centre of the building has a half-glazed door set in a timber gabled shallow porch with a cambered head. To the left end wall, there is a small 20th-century outbuilding that includes a similar three-light window. Additionally, there are large 20th-century rear extensions, all featuring matching windows.
