Description
Borras Farm is a single-storey and attic red brick farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, featuring a slate roof and brick chimney stacks. It has a lobby-entry plan. At the time of inspection in March 1996, the ground floor openings were blocked, while the upper floor windows rise through the eaves and are topped with gables. There is a gabled porch offset to the left, which was formerly inscribed with 'RJ 1707'. The earlier phase of the building is notable for its dentilled band above the ground floor, and the camber-headed opening below was likely added when the enlargement to the right occurred. To the right side, there is a stepped down outbuilding. The interior is noted to have had a plaster coat of arms dated 1706 and a staircase featuring flat balusters and rectangular newels.
