Description

Greenbank is a cottage orne style building, constructed with rendered walls and a slate roof, featuring rendered chimneys. It is a single storey structure with an attic and has a butterfly type plan. The entrance elevation showcases gabled ranges set at right angles, with a low flat-roofed porch nestled in the angles and flanked by lower two-window ranges on either side. The porch features a dentil cornice and a central door with upper sidelights. The gable ends have swept-up roofs, and the gables are adorned with dentil cornices that extend a short distance at the eaves to create a pediment effect.

On the rear elevation, the taller V-shaped range includes gabled dormer windows with dentil decoration. The left side has an entrance with a steeply gabled porch that also features a dentil cornice. There is a door located in the low attached left-hand range. All windows have been replaced and are leaded and multipaned, with some designed in a Gothic style. The building was not accessible during the 1995 survey.
