Description
The Pavilion, which includes an attached Skittle Alley at Cefn Park, is a Grade II listed structure. It consists of two parts: an octagonal pavilion and the adjoining skittle alley. The pavilion is a single-storey building made of rendered brick, shaped as an octagon. Four of its eight sides feature large semi-circular window openings, while the openings on the east and west sides extend to ground level, serving as entrances to the pavilion and the alley, respectively. Currently, no windows remain, and each side has a circular window at the top, all of which are bricked up. The roof structure has deteriorated, but it was likely not visible from the outside. The skittle alley is a brick-sided open trough that connects to the west side of the octagon.
Inside, the octagon is plastered and features two wooden semi-circular alcoves, along with signs of shelving that was once installed within them.
