Description
Llwyn Onn Hall Hotel is a late 17th century to early 18th century gentry house constructed from cement rendered brick and designed on a double-pile plan beneath a slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and features twelve-pane near-flush sash windows on the ground floor under an enclosed loggia, with six or nine-pane windows on the second storey. The west elevation showcases three pointed gable ends with stone kneelers at the north and south, along with an enclosed porch that has wooden Doric columns topped with a deeply moulded entablature. The south elevation includes a recently enclosed loggia supported by seven wooden Doric columns and a similarly moulded entablature. To the east, a two-storey hexagonal projection from the 19th century extends the dining room, which also features two painted blind windows. A rear service wing is located to the north.
Inside, the entrance hall leads to an impressive full-height closed-string wooden staircase adorned with turned balusters, a moulded rail, and square newel posts. The wall of the staircase is finished with contemporary wood panelling up to dado height. The dining room retains decorative plasterwork on the ceiling, featuring acanthus and vine designs. The bar area boasts full-height wood panelling, including a moulded archivolt around a large open fireplace. The Jones-Parry room contains a 19th-century fire-surround.
