Description

Magpie Cottage is a 1½-storey, 2-window box-framed house dating from the 17th century. It features brick nogging painted white and has a steep thatch roof, with a brick stack on the left end and a tall brick stack rising from the eaves on the right side. The gabled porch includes a window at the front and a half-glazed door in the side wall. The front of the house has two-light casement windows, with the left-hand window located in what was once a doorway. Eyebrow dormers also have similar windows. A survey from 1962 noted exposed beams and joists, as well as an inglenook fireplace with a beam above.
