Description

3 Church Street is a two-storey building with an attic, featuring lined out render over brick and elements of a timber-framed structure, topped with a slate roof. The building has a four-window range. Number 3 retains an early 19th-century shop front with a doorway to the left and a bow window with small panes, all beneath a continuous fascia supported by heavily scrolled brackets. There is a late 20th-century shop front inserted into Number 4. The upper storey has four-pane sash windows with flat arched stuccoed heads that include voussoirs and painted stone sills, along with three gabled dormers in the roof. The building has rusticated angle quoins and features an axial stack, with a 19th-century or early 20th-century stack added or replaced on the gable facing Temple Row. A tripartite window is present on the first floor of this gable return. Timber framing in square panels is visible in the side and internal partition walls of Number 3.

The property is connected at first floor level with Number 6 Temple Row, with which it has a historical link.
