Description

The Rhosesmor war memorial is a freestone cross situated on a high base and stepped plinth, surrounded by iron railings topped with spear finials. The square base features inset panels that display memorial inscriptions, set below bands of stylised foliage in low relief. The cross shaft is octagonal and tapers upwards, with a thicker base adorned with relief foliage on alternating faces. The cross itself is stylised with a wheel-headed design, featuring blind relief moulding on the 'wheel' and foliage in relief at the outer ends of the cross.
