Description
The granary at Castle Hill Farm is a large brick structure, likely built in the 1820s, featuring dray housing underneath. It stands three storeys high beneath a shallow-pitched slate roof, which has a small chimney on the right side. The facade is symmetrical with three bays and a stone ground floor. There are three wide, depressed-arched entrances with brick voussoirs, leading to early 20th-century boarded double doors. Above these entrances are two-light windows, three on each floor, which are internally shuttered and unglazed, except for the window on the right side of the first floor. The windows have flat-arched heads and stone cills. There is external stone-stepped access to the first floor on the left side, along with a loading bay that has a winch above it. Additionally, there is external stone-stepped access to the first floor at the rear of the building.
