Description

58 Glynne Way is a large two-storey house, originally two separate homes, constructed of stone and brick with a stucco facade. It features a slate roof adorned with two late 19th-century decorated brick chimneys. The street-facing facade dates from the early 19th century, although it likely has an earlier core from the 17th century.

The main part of the house, on the right side, has a symmetrical three-bay elevation. The central entrance is framed by a simple projecting doorcase topped with a plain pediment supported by sparsely-moulded brackets. There is a plain projecting plinth and a string course. Flanking the entrance on both floors are two pairs of six-pane tripartite windows, all with cambered heads except for the left window on the ground floor. The windows have plain projecting cills, and there is a narrow two-pane window above the entrance.

To the left, there is an additional bay that was added in the early 19th century, which is flush with the facade. This section has a stucco facade similar to the main part, with a matching entrance to the right and single windows on both floors that mirror the earlier style.

The rear of the house is made of stone rubble and later brick. There is an early 19th-century single-storey brick extension featuring dentilated eaves and a tall, later chimney, along with further modern extensions.
