Description
Glan-y-morfa is a symmetrical two-storey, three-window farmhouse that faces south, away from the road, towards a lawn and garden, with its farmyard located to one side.
The house is constructed of handmade Flemish-bond brickwork and features a slate roof with a tile ridge and end chimneys. There is a two-storey rear wing on the east side and a single-storey section, likely original, on the west side, all made from similar materials. The brick end-chimney of the rear wing has a top stack that has been rebuilt using modern bricks.
The front of the house has four-pane sash windows in original exposed frames, although the sashes were likely replaced in the mid-19th century. The front door is semi-glazed with margin panes and is set within a modern brick open-fronted porch. The lower openings generally feature brick segmental arches.
On the east side, there is another modern porch with an outer semi-glazed door on the flank of the rear wing. Above this porch, there is a two-light casement window in what appears to be a reduced opening, along with a metal window to the right. The rear elevation has other replaced windows in original openings.
