Description
Faenol Fawr Old Farmhouse is a two-storey house with an attic, located slightly outside the main forecourt of Faenol Fawr mansion. It features local axe-dressed limestone masonry and has a restored slate roof. The front elevation includes two windows above and two windows along with two doors below, all with restored joinery. There is a tall stone dormer slightly left of center on the front and a corresponding dormer on the rear, both featuring a high-level window. The main gables and the gables of the two dormers are prominently stepped, and there is an ashlar chimney stack above the left gable.
An additional unit has been added to the left (west) side, which is a single-storey extension with a lean-to roof, positioned under a slightly lower eaves level at the left side of the rear elevation. The interior has been altered to accommodate hotel accommodation.
