Description
Tan-y-Graig is a building probably constructed in the late 18th century, possibly replacing an earlier structure on the site. It features roughly coursed and squared rubble with a slate roof that has slate verges. The building is two storeys high and has a long two-unit plan with an integral rear wing. There are gable end stacks, including one for the wing. The central entrance is flanked on each floor by 8-pane windows, which have splayed voussoir heads on the lower openings. The rear wall has an inserted window and doorway. The rear wing includes a fixed 6-pane window with a voussoir head on the ground floor, a small 2-light window below the eaves on the outer face, and a doorway in the angle of the inner face with a 6-pane fixed light window next to it. Additionally, there is a fixed iron-pane window on the first floor.
