31 Russell Road

31 Russell Road is a two-storey building with an attic, featuring roughcast render and slate roofs adorned with scalloped bands and tiled cresting. The façade is symmetrically designed with a six-window range and slightly advanced outer gables that have stressed quoins. The ground floor includes rectangular bay windows, which are divided into tripartite sashes by pilasters. A heavy cornice supports cast-iron brattishing above.

On the first floor, there are paired windows with four-pane sashes, each topped with stilted arched moulded heads. Broad sill and impost bands extend across the façade, leading to similar windows in the central range, which consist of two central pairs and single windows above the doorways. The round-arched doorways feature console brackets supporting the moulding above, along with fanlights. The central ground-floor windows are tripartite sashes set within moulded architraves that have keystones.

The attic windows are round-arched with deep hoodmoulds positioned at the apex of the gables, which are decorated with scalloped bargeboards and finials. The return elevation facing Church Street has a similar arrangement of windows, including a rectangular bay window on the left.
