Description
Church House is a two-storey symmetrical house built in local axe-dressed coursed limestone masonry, featuring larger stones as quoins. The roof is covered with slate and has a tile ridge, deep eaves, and diagonally set end-chimney stacks made of red brick.
On the side facing the churchyard, there are two hornless 12-pane sash windows on the upper floor and two modern casement windows below. A tall central doorway with a fanlight is accompanied by a flight of steps. Above the doorway arch, there is an oval plaque that records the names of the churchwardens from 1831 and displays the Salesbury family motto, 'Na werth nef er benthyg byd'. The side facing the street has three similar sash windows above and two similar casement windows below. Above the door is a plaque commemorating the gift of the building by the Clarke family of Eyarth Hall in 1937. The property features a small forecourt that is enclosed by a stone wall with an iron gate.
