Description
The lychgate at St Cynfarch and St Mary's Church is a lightly-built timber-framed structure dating from 1708, featuring a slate roof and low stone plinth walls on either side. The north face displays the phrase 'Heb Dduw, heb ddim', while the south face has the initials EP, IR, IP, and IE.
The front and rear tie beams are supported by arched braces, creating a four-centred soffit for each. Above these are curved struts. The sides of the lychgate consist of two panels in height and six in length, with the upper panels featuring vertical timber bars.
