Description

The building is a late Georgian Post Office, featuring three stories and a three-window rendered front. It has a tall hipped slate roof, with a roughcast chimney stack on the right and wide boarded eaves. The windows are horned sash types, with nine and twelve panes. The overall design includes a simple classical shop front, complete with a cornice and paired pilasters on either side of the openings. There are tripartite small pane windows and a central set of double boarded doors. The structure has a polished granite plinth and railed steps. On the right-hand side, there are two additional windows that match the overall detail, along with a doorway at the right end.
