Description
This is a long, staggered terrace of 13 one-window, two-storey cottages dating from the second half of the 19th century, situated on a hillside and following a broad curve. Number 11 has an extra ground-floor window and exhibits earlier brickwork in the lower part of its chimney, indicative of possible origins in the second quarter or mid-19th century. The terrace is constructed of rendered brick, featuring shared brick stacks, and has slate roofs with tiled ridges. The rendered stacks are located at numbers 13 and 15, and at numbers 21 to 25. The roof is continuous until number 15, after which it steps down slightly in sections, primarily in pairs, as the terrace descends the hill. Doors are recessed and of a late Victorian style, with four panels, although the doors at numbers 11, 17, 23, 27, 29, 31 and 37 are modern. Number 29 includes an additional entrance with a boarded door to the left. The windows are plain, recessed sashes with four panes, featuring projecting stone sills. This terrace forms part of a larger group of 14 buildings.
