Description

The stable range at Plas-yr-esgob is a lofted structure that faces west towards the farmyard. The front and the left gable wall feature local hammer-dressed uncoursed limestone, while the rest of the building is constructed from local slatey rubble with limestone quoins. The roof is made of asbestos. The front elevation includes two loft windows positioned near the eaves. The lower storey has two doors and three small windows, all featuring segmental arched heads made with dressed voussoirs. There is a loft door in the south gable, although the outside stairs are no longer present. At the rear, there is a small bakehouse or groom's lodge built from similar rubble stone, which has been re-roofed in slate.
