Description
This is a 2-storey police station built from snecked rubble, featuring a hipped slate roof and a stone chimney stack at the right corner. The building has freestone dressings and a four-bay front. The left bay is slightly advanced and includes stepped corner buttresses. On the first floor, there are paired lancet windows with stepped heads and horizontal glazing bars. The ground floor has windows with Caernarvon arch heads, and there are paired lights on either side of the doorway. The advanced bay contains a pointed arch entrance with a stopped label, leading into a hallway.
On the left side, Caernarvon arch windows are arranged to light the staircase, with a gable above that features cusped timberwork at the apex. To the left, there is another gable with a 2-light window. The right side, facing Greenfield, has a similar arrangement of pointed and Caernarvon arch windows. At the rear, there is a lower cross range with boarded doors and some sections made of stock brick.
