Description
The Bull Inn Public House, which includes Caesar Hughes, is a three-storey building with a three-window front that features painted roughcast. It dates from the early 20th century and has a slate roof along with roughcast and brick chimney stacks, and boarded eaves. The building has small pane sash windows, with 12 panes on the second floor and cambered heads on the first floor, which have stopped labels. One of the windows has had some glazing bars removed, and the windows are set in brick jambs.
To the left, there is a splayed oriel window that was added during alterations in 1908. This oriel features a dentil cornice, coloured glass, and small pane sash glazing. A public house frontage was also added to the left in 1908, constructed from glazed terracotta, while a modern shop front is located to the right.
The building has a convex tile entablature with raised lettering. The bracket of the oriel window intersects with this entablature and is connected to a bulls head keystone above the bar window, which features the LLB monogram. The round arch-headed openings have hoodmoulds and pilasters, with fluted keystones above recessed doorways that include fanlights. Below the window cills are flat volutes, and the spandrels are decorated with coloured foliage and festoons. To the right, there is a similar round arch opening with the word 'stabling' inscribed on the cornice, and boarded doors that lead to a carriage entry.
