Description
J & C Burnetts Spinnaker Restaurant is a three-storey building made of painted brick, featuring a hipped slate roof and stock brick chimney stacks. The building has a two-window front, with the Castle Street side being broader and having offset windows. It includes nine and twelve pane sash windows with voussoir lintels. There is a later splayed oriel window on the first floor of the Castle Street front, which has horned sash glazing. The overall shopfront consists of two windows on the main front and one window on Oak Street, with modern glazing. Architectural details include a cornice, an undulating band, and pilasters flanking the openings. The main front has a round arched entry at the center, which features a two-panel door and a fanlight, along with modern doors at the splayed corner entrance. The cornice is broken midway along the Oak Street front, but the shopfront continues, overlapping the neighboring property.
