Description
Lodge Farm is a large three-storey L-plan farmhouse built from limestone rubble, featuring a steeply-pitched slate roof and brick gable chimneys. The facade is symmetrical with three bays and was originally fitted with partly-fixed metal casement windows, which may have been the original windows. It now has wooden small-pane casements, with tripartite outer windows that are segmentally-headed on the lower floors. The central entrance has a cambered head and a door with four moulded panels, the upper two of which have cusped heads, along with a four-pane overlight.
The interior was not available for inspection during the recent survey. However, during the previous inspection in 1981, a late 18th-century closet was noted on the ground floor, along with a staircase that features a plain handrail and Chinoiserie tread brackets.
