Description
Ceirios is a 2-storey building with a 2-window front made of rendered rubble and features a battered boulder plinth. The main openings are offset to the right. It has a slate roof and a large rubble chimney stack on the left, which is enclosed within the gable end. The gables above the upper windows may date from the later 19th century and feature 4-pane casements. There are similar windows below and a small metal frame pointed window to the left, which has glazing bars; a blocked doorway is no longer visible. A modern brick porch with a panelled door and imitation Gothick windows on the sides has been added. There is also an original Gothick window on the right-hand gable end, and a modern flat roof kitchen extension beyond. The rear of the building has casement windows and a former byre.
Inside, the house retains a square panelled half-timbered partition wall, chamfered main beams, one of which has a carved stop at one end, and boarded doors. There is a chamfered segmental arched lintel above the fireplace, and the structure features pegged tie and collar beam trusses. The oak stairs may be contemporary with the Gothick window.
