Description
The L-shaped coach-house range at Plas Newydd is a two-storey building made of limestone with a slate roof. The main section is symmetrical and features a prominent central bay with a pediment. This bay has a depressed arch that contains recessed boarded doors, flanked by two-light windows. Above the arch, there is an open circular oculus with a clock face, which has a plaque indicating it was presented in 1927. On either side of the central bay, there are stable entrances with small-pane, tilting steel-framed windows. The first floor also has four additional oculi, similar to the one above the arch. The left-hand return features a recessed boarded door on the left and a small-pane window on the right. Beyond this, there is a wide, depressed-arched entrance, with two 16-pane windows on the upper floor set within gabled dormers. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
