Description
Canal Bridge (No.43) is a single span bridge built of rubble, designed in the characteristic style of Thomas Telford. It features voussoirs and a keystone in its semicircular arch, along with a droved stringcourse and coping at the top. The bridge has pyramidical caps on its advanced end piers. The walls on either side are battered, but there are no walls sloping downwards to the towpath. The towpath runs alongside the south bank.
