Description
12-14 Hall Square is a three-storey building consisting of two mirrored units that create a symmetrical three-bay facade. The exterior is made of scribed, rendered brick with raised stucco quoins and simple decorative surrounds around the openings. It has a slate roof with a brick chimney on the right side. The central entrance features a modern iron grille and leads to a rear courtyard, with separate entrances for numbers 12 and 14 on the left and right, respectively.
The ground and first floors have tripartite plain sash windows, with a broad central section flanked by narrower ones. Above the entrance, there is another window made up of a pair of narrow sashes. The second floor has three plain square sashes. The right corner of the building is rounded at the ground floor. The elevation facing Park Street includes an entrance on the far right with a stucco surround and a modern door. To the left of this entrance is a 12-pane horned sash window, with additional similar sashes on the first and second floors, all featuring stucco surrounds.
The interior was not inspected during the survey.
